If you’ve lived through something life-altering, such as a traumatic brain injury, invisible illness, emotional burnout, or just a quiet fight to stay afloat, your story matters here.
Broken But Resonant is built on honest storytelling and shared humanity. Whether you want to submit a written piece for the blog or be a guest on the podcast, I’d love to hear from you.
Sharing your story can be powerful, but it should also feel safe and informed. Broken But Resonant invites submissions for written pieces, interviews, or collaborations, prioritizing consent, clarity, and well-being.
Before submitting, please read the Story Submission Guidelines below. These explain your options for anonymity, editing approval, and ownership so you can share on your terms.

All stories are reviewed by the site creator, Peter Morande, to ensure clarity, respect, and safety.As the project grows, an advisory team of peers and creative collaborators may be added to help guide submissions and maintain ethical standards.
Story Submission Guidelines:

We welcome personal essays or reflections related to:

Traumatic brain injury recovery

Invisible disabilities or chronic illness

Mental health challenges

Neurodivergence and burnout
-
Healing through creativity, storytelling, or art
Your submission should:

Be between 500–1200 words
-
Be written in your authentic voice (formal writing not required)

Include a short author bio and, if you wish, an optional photo or creative image to accompany your piece

You decide how you’re credited: full name, first name, initials, or anonymous
-
Be based on your real experience or perspective. Stories must be truthful and original.
You may use writing tools to assist with structure or grammar, but not to fabricate or copy content from other sources. -
Include a brief content note at the top if your piece discusses sensitive topics (for example: discussion of medical trauma or emotional distress)

Be previously unpublished, or clearly state if it has appeared elsewhere
We’re not looking for perfection; we’re looking for truth. Stories can be raw, reflective, poetic, or narrative. If it feels honest, it belongs.
Podcast Guest Guidelines:

Participation Requirements

Guests must be 18 years or older and able to provide informed consent for recording and publication.

Conversations must be based on your own lived experience. You may use notes or writing tools to help organize your story, but discussions should remain authentic and not fabricated.

Guests may choose how they’re credited: full name, first name, initials, or anonymous.

Participation is entirely voluntary, and you can request edits or withdrawal of your episode at any time before publication.
This is a relaxed, conversational show. You don’t need to be a professional speaker, only someone willing to speak with honesty and care.

To keep this space safe for everyone, we cannot accept:

Submissions promoting medical treatments, products, or personal fundraising without prior discussion
